Blue Sphere Health

Our team contains a range of consultants and associates with complementary skills.  We offer flexible resourcing depending on your project needs and we can vary the team composition over time as the project emphasis changes. Most of our consultants are highly experienced industry veterans with real-world experience gained over many years.

CEO and Head of Consulting, Mark Davison, is a leading global expert on fake drugs. He is the author of “Pharmaceutical Anti-Counterfeiting: Combating the Real Danger from Fake Drugs” (Wiley, N.Y., 2011) as well as numerous reports and white papers on the subject. As well as coordinating Bluesphere’s consulting team, Mark works directly with our international corporate clients at strategic level, bringing a wide perspective and cross functional approach. Mark also works with Non-Governmental Organisations and public sector clients on healthcare security and mobile health issues worldwide. He has previously held senior roles in the pharmaceutical (GlaxoSmithKline) and biotechnology industries (various companies). He has also worked with contract research organisations (Quintiles, Charles River) and security system vendors (SICPA, PharmaSecure).

Team Skills

Other team members bring a variety of skill sets. We have deep collective experience with serialisation, aggregation, tamper-evidence requirements (a forthcoming mandatory requirement of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive) and packaging security features such as holograms, inks, taggants etc.  We cover general issues of pharmaceutical supply chain design and control, including cold chain and controlled room temperature (CRT) issues. Several of our associates also have expertise in patient engagement and related commercial and marketing opportunities around packaging and coding.

Working for Bluesphere

We need experienced people around the world and especially in the US and EU. We are headquartered in Cambridge, U.K. but if you have the right skills and experience then your home location is not necessarily an issue.  Send your CV in confidence to [email protected] or Contact Us and someone will be in touch.

Pharmaceutical Anti-Counterfeiting

Combating the Real Danger from Fake Drugs has become a must-have primer on anti-counterfeiting and is widely used by drug companies, regulators and others. The book covers the legal, strategic and political issues as well as the technical counter-measures such as process control, digital serialisation and physical security.
