US top-25 pharma
Using UK and US-based consultants, we developed and helped implement a global brand protection strategy. This involved devising a rigorous risk assessment procedure to enable prioritization of activities across the product portfolio. We also performed a multi-site process mapping exercise to identify key brand protection touch-points and gaps. We then worked with our customer’s manufacturing sites and the HQ team in designing a robust technology selection and artwork management process for packaging security features.
European mid-sized specialty pharma
We helped a >EUR 1 billion company to examine its product protection strategy from first principles. The first stage was an examination of the As-Is situation, gathering information on our client’s eleven production lines at six sites around the world. We also examined the state of readiness of their external Contract Manufacturer Organisation (CMO) network. Based on our client’s exposure to global compliance requirements, and our joint assessment of their likely counterfeiting risks, we made a recommendation of a To-Be scenario. Finally, we conducted a Gap Analysis between the two and proposed a strategy and draft timeline. Working on a tight deadline, we got the exercise completed in less than three months. Outputs were used to plan capital acquisition requests for major investments in new line equipment.
